The Democratic leadership doesn’t think they can pass the Dream Act in the U.S. Senate, so Nancy Pelosi (while Speaker of the U.S House for now) is attempting to pass it in the U.S. House TOMORROW to gain some sort of momentum.

TAKE ACTION BELOW to keep illegal immigrants from getting in-state tuition rates to our universities, along with allowing them access to student loans and giving them an amnesty which will then allow them to sponsor other illegal immigrants!

We have high unemployment in the USA and Nancy Pelosi wants to give illegal immigrants benefits for college and then an amnesty to allow them to take a job in the USA?

Every illegal immigrant getting into college in the USA is one less American student getting in, because enrolling in our colleges and universities is a selection process and there are only a limited amount of seats, AND we know many liberal universities will favor illegal immigrants if given the chance.

The so-called Dream Act will allow illegal immigrants into our Colleges and Universities with in-state tuition, and it gets worse as the amnesty would also allow them (when they turn 21) to sponsor their illegal parents for U.S. citizenship. The “bad Dream” Act amnesty clause may apply to illegals up to 35 years of age.

U.S. Senator Kay Hagan from North Carolina appears to be non-committal on her stance on the Dream Act.  The so-called Dream Act will allow illegal immigrants into our Colleges and Universities with in-state tuition and has appeared again in the US Congress, and the Democrats are also pushing to give them an amnesty as well as long as they graduate high school.  It gets worse, as the amnesty would also reward these illegals with access to student loan programs, and when they turn 21 they can sponsor their illegal parents for U.S. citizenship.  The (bad) Dream Act amnesty clause may apply to illegals up to 35 years of age.

Of course this would be a BAD DREAM for Americans.  College is a selection process, so every illegal immigrant allowed into our colleges is one for one less American citizen enrolling in college.  The amnesty with all of its benefits is an even bigger insult.

Tonight (Nov. 15) NC LISTEN attempted to speak at a public forum at the Durham City Council meeting, after having registered to speak as required, and was not allowed to speak against the Durham City Council’s plan to recognize the Mexican Matricula Consular card as a valid form of ID in the city.   However if you were an illegal immigrant in Durham, you were allowed to speak.

Since we were not allowed to speak, myself and many other immigration reform supporters stood up and left the Council meeting.  Interestingly enough, at the beginning of the meeting, the Pledge of Allegiance was spoken, however since illegal immigrants were bused to the Council meeting and I looked back from the front of the room during the Pledge, one half of the people in the room were NOT reciting the Pledge of Allegiance nor even crossing their arm over their heart.

The Matricula Consular card is only used in the USA by illegal immigrants, since if one is here legally there would be no need for it because you would have a valid stamped passport or valid visa or already be a citizen.   In some cities in California this card is being used to allow illegal immigrants to vote for local candidates in local elections.

In the case of Durham it will permit the Durham Police to accept the Matricula Consular card as a valid ID, hence illegals will not be taken to jail for lack of a valid USA identification document.

So Durham is turning against its own citizens who need jobs and better public safety to pander to (I suppose) future voters.  There is absolutely no benefit to citizens for this policy, and actually it will hurt citizens due to assisting the illegals to remain in our Country, take jobs, use many public benefits (illegals and their dependents) at a time when we can’t adequately take care of our own elderly poor and money for schools is tight, our government is up to its eyeballs in debt, etc.

There will be a NEXT STEP to prevent this nonsense from happening in other NC cities.   Stay tuned to us and stay tuned to what your local government might be doing.

The Durham City Council is meeting this coming Monday evening, Nov. 15th at 7:00 pm at 101 City Hall Plaza in Durham, and they are planning to vote to accept the Mexican Matricula Consular ID card as a legal form of ID in the city of Durham.

We all know the Mexican Matricula Consular  ID card is only used in the USA by illegal immigrants attempting to thwart our immigration laws.   If they were here legally they would have a passport or valid visa or green card.  I believe the “real reason” is to attempt to do what has been done in certain instances on the West Coast — to allow illegal immigrants the right to vote in local elections.

Why is the City of Durham concerned with helping the Mexican government and illegal immigrants stay in North Carolina in violation of our immigration laws?  One would think the City of Durham would be more interested in assisting OUR Government and to make sure all jobs go to legal residents.

I will be speaking against this proposal at the Durham City Council meeting.  Illegal immigrant advocates will be at the meeting, so we need you to attend in support of America and the rule of law.  We need you to attend this meeting.   If we don’t take action, the other side wins.
