Concerned Citizens and Immigration Reformers,

The NC House Judiciary Subcommittee A gave a favorable review, one step in several needed, to NC House bill H33 to deny the Matricula Consular card as a legitimate ID for use in North Carolina. I spoke at the Judicial Committee hearing in support of this legislation. The bill now goes to the floor of the NC House for approval and then on to the NC Senate. I explained the unreliability of the Matricula Consular card and how the Mexican Consulate has been having mobile consulate events around NC to hand out the cards, using our state Community College and public HS buildings for their meeting sites to include handing out NC voter registration applications in the process (wonder why a foreign government would be handing out our voter registration forms). And of course let’s not forget that Wachovia Bank was setup with a table at at least one event to help the illegals get a bank account. By the way, Bank of America is another bank who falls all over itself to help illegals get a bank account.

Thanks to ALIPAC, NC FIRE, and Bev Lung who also spoke at the hearing. The bill will also keep liberal local governments in North Carolina, such as Carrboro and Durham, from authorizing special ID documents for illegal immigrants.

MORE LEGISLATION IS ON THE WAY. WE WILL NOT STOP UNTIL THE JOB IS DONE! I will need your help as we move forward in this process. More to follow. However, let’s take a breath and enjoy this initial success.

With the state budget nearing real completion, it is time to press for passage of NC Senate Bill S.1258 which would keep illegal immigrants from enrolling in our state Community Colleges.  The NC Community College Board [most are political appointees, ten of whom by the Governor] late last year gave approval for illegal immigrants to attend our state Community Colleges.

With over 10% unemployment in North Carolina (if not for temporary US Census Bureau workers and other government workers being hired last month, the unemployment rate in North Carolina would have actually increased by 3,200) our state should be focusing on putting citizens back to work, NOT training illegal immigrants for jobs.

We CAN stop this nutty policy to allow illegal immigrants access to our NC Community Colleges, but it will now take state legislation due to the vote of the NC Community College Board.

WE NEED YOU TO CALL THE FOLLOWING LEGISLATORS IN THE NC GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO TAKE ACTION ON NC SENATE BILL S.1258, BUT FIRST IT MUST BE ALLOWED TO COME UP FOR A VOTE IN THE EDUCATION COMMITTEE.
