TAKE ACTION – STOP AN AMNESTY FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS
The Democratic leadership still in charge during this ”lame duck session of Congress” will in fact vote on the Dream Act Amnesty in the US House and US Senate TODAY, Dec 8th. This according to our friends at NumbersUSA, who have an office in Wash, DC and are tracking this.
Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are trying to ram this Amnesty down our throats at the last minute, while they are still in the majority. They know the general public is against an amnesty for illegal immigrants, disguised as the Dream Act.
We have high unemployment in the USA and the Democratic leadership wants to give illegal immigrants benefits for college and then an amnesty to allow them to take jobs in the USA?
Every illegal immigrant getting into college in the USA is one less American student getting in, because enrolling in our colleges and universities is a selection process and there are only a limited amount of seats, AND we know many liberal universities will favor illegal immigrants if given the chance.
Illegal immigrant adults can simply return to their native country and go to college there, and this is where they would be legally allowed to work.
The so-called Dream Act will allow illegal immigrants into our Colleges and Universities with in-state tuition, and it gets worse as they would also be eligible for taxpayer subsidized student loans, which should be reserved for poor American students. Also this amnesty would allow them (when they turn 21) to sponsor their illegal parents for U.S. citizenship. The “bad Dream” Act amnesty clause may apply to illegals up to 30 years of age. They could simply enroll in Community College, fill out their paperwork, and then not attend to get this amnesty. As usual, there are few checks in the legislation to verify compliance.

Our two senators from NC have said they will not support this amnesty, but if you have time, call them again anyway.

Call: U.S. Senator Kay Hagan (877) 852-9462 at her Greensboro office or (202) 224-6342 at her Washington, DC office
If we don’t take action, the other side wins. The Dream Act and Amnesty will be voted on tomorrow. Take action now to stop it as we did before.
Action Alert: Stop Bad Dream Act in Congress
TAKE ACTION BELOW !
The so-called Dream Act to allow illegal immigrants into our Colleges and Universities with in-state tuition has appeared again in the US Congress, and the Democrats are also pushing to give them an amnesty as well as long as they graduate high school. It gets worse, as the amnesty would also reward these illegals with access to student loan programs, and when they turn 21 they can sponsor their illegal parents for U.S. citizenship.
Of course this would be a BAD DREAM for Americans. College is a selection process, so every illegal immigrant allowed into our colleges is one for one less American citizen enrolling in college. The amnesty with all of its benefits is an even bigger insult.
TAKE THIS ACTION:
Let’s focus as follows — tell Sen Kay Hagan and your member of the U.S House to VOTE NO ON THE DREAM ACT AND VOTE NO FOR ANY AMNESTY FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS [if illegals do not have to go back to their native country and get in the back of the line there, it's an amnesty].
Call: U.S. Senator Kay Hagan (877) 852-9462 at her Greensboro office or (202) 224-6342 at her Washington, DC office
Call your member of the U.S House. If you don’t know, go to: http://www.house.gov [look at the upper left corner of the webpage and enter your Zip Code and then click GO].
If we don’t take action, the other side wins. The Dream Act and Amnesty may be voted on as early as next Monday. Take action now to stop it as we did before.
Sue Arizona But Not The Sanctuary Cities?
The Obama administration is taking legal action against Arizona to prevent their state Senate bill 1070 from becoming law, while continuing to ignore “sanctuary” cities in America who thwart federal immigration laws and openly announce they will refuse to enforce or obey them. I suppose it is selective enforcement of the law based on politics.
Arizona is only trying to protect its citizens and partner with the federal government to solve a serious problem.
Immigration and controlling our borders are federal duties listed in our Constitution. No one has to make it up. Arizona, however, is only mirroring federal law without attempting to deport anyone [deportation must be done by the Feds]. Congress passed immigration laws in 1996 which give states certain rights and the ability to help enforce immigration laws. A large majority of American citizens support Arizona in its efforts. Federal cases in the recent past have ruled that states have the right to enforce immigration laws.
With high unemployment one would think it would be important to make sure only legal residents can acquire jobs. There are over seven million illegal immigrants working in American, and less than 12% of them are involved in agricultural related jobs. The state of North Carolina has borrowed over $2.4 billion from the federal government since the end of 2008 to pay unemployment insurance claims. I guess cheap illegal immigrant labor isn’t so cheap after all.
What could be more important than protecting citizens and making sure they have access to jobs in the USA? Apparently politics and pandering for votes are more important!
