Enforcement
The 4 steps to rid our country of illegal aliens:
- Control our borders to include building a two-layer fence on our southern border.
- Do not give driver’s licenses and other social service privileges to illegals [provide only emergency services]
- Do not give jobs to illegals – require employers to use the department of homeland security’s e-verify system for employment verification [punish employers who knowingly hire illegals]
- Involve local law enforcement in enforcing immigration laws, specifically use the Secure Communities Program. Deny federal dollars to “sanctuary cities” and take other measures to punish these cities who put citizens at risk.
Key point: Most illegal aliens will “self-deport” over a few years if they are denied a driver’s license and a job.
The Secure Communities Program provides local law enforcement officials with the tools to determine one’s legal status. The Secure Communities Program is used by all 100 of North Carolina’s Sheriff Departments.
From the Center for Immigration Studies:
“While it is sometimes assumed that minorities, particularly Hispanics, favor increased immigration and legalization for illegal immigrants, a new Zogby survey finds that minority voters’ views are more complex. The poll of Hispanic, Asian-American, and African-American likely voters finds some support for legalization. But overall each of these groups prefers enforcement and for illegal immigrants to return home. Moreover, significant majorities of all three groups think that the current level of immigration is too high. These views are in sharp contrast to the leaders of most ethnic advocacy organizations, who argue for increased immigration and legalization of illegal immigrants. The survey used neutral language, avoiding such terms as ‘amnesty,’ ‘illegal alien,’ or ‘undocumented.'”
